‎15 countries have qualified to take part in the team competition during the Olympics in London this year. The countries can take part with team consisting of four or three horses and riders. The team competition will be held on the 5th and 6th of August and the 9th of July is the deadline for the countries to announce the participants.

The teams that are qualified are:
Germany, France, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Holland, Sweden, Switzerland, USA, Mexico, Chile, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Ukraine and Great Britain.

22 October:Abierto de Hurlingham: With 12 goals of Adolfito Cambiaso, La Dolfina defeats Estancia Grande (20-10).Cambiaso stood out by a mile in talent and class with a team of horses to take your breath away !

21October, 1800h:
Argentina win 4th World Championship:
In a nail biting finish  agaist continental rivals. Brazil, Argentina clinched the World Championship 12-11. In this unique type up to 14 goal tournament, where all teams use borrowed horses, we saw some outstanding play from a really young team. Bravo Argentina!!
POLO:
Yesterday 18 October saw the start of the second leg of the Triple Crown, the Hurlinghan Open, it will run until the23rd October with the final match on November 5.

HORSE RACING
2000 GUINEAS GRAND PRIX GR 1:
Superstar 3 yr old colt, Suggestive Boy (Easing Along - Suffrage - Horse Chestnut(SAF) easily beat Palermo star colt Chuck Berry by more than 2 lengths on the turf at San Isidro yesterday. He is trained by Alfredo F. Gaitan Dassie and was ridden by a very emotional Eduardo Ortega Pavon.
Suggestive Boy appears to be headed in the same direction as his grandfather, Horse Chestnut, who was one of the greatest South African bred horses of all time. ( P.S. Your blogger, David Sauermann is South African !!)

A goal in the last seconds of the final chukka by Gonzalo Pieres clinches the final for Ellerstina and long time rivals La Dolfina with a score of 14-13 in a match fans will remember for a long time forth !
